Eredivisie table toppers Twente lock horns with Bayer Leverkusen on Friday evening in what should be an interesting friendly game, and head coach Steve McClaren is eagerly anticipating the clash with the Bundesliga's number one.
"The weather conditions haven't been particularly good, but we've been able to train pretty well. It's always difficult to stick to your schedule at this time of the year, but we've managed to do so," said McClaren on the official Twente website.
"The upcoming friendly against Bayer Leverkusen will be a serious test-case for us. Bayer are one of the strongest teams we will meet this season.
"They're the table toppers in one of the best European leagues and I feel like they are serious contenders for the Bundesliga t**le. It will be interesting to see how we keep up with them."
