We were thinking it was all over at 3-0 ( and very shocked as we had not expected that at all). Then back you came. And deservedley so.You deserved at least one goal so the second leg is really set up for a great game.
I am surprised that we played as we did, given Gerrard's absence and our recent form, which has been very inconsistent. Quick-thinking comeback by your team, I do not think we had yet settled after the shock of Didi scoring with a placed ball, as opposed to blasting it up in the roof. My seat is just behind the Kop goal and we were getting ready to duck in case it hit us! He hits them very hard.
Who was your number 4 ( dark skinned player)?
Can't wait for the second leg, if you get one goal back early we are all in for a long 90 minutes
But then again, we have a habit of scoring early in these away ties, if we are going to score at all. My prediction is a 2-1, with the mighty Reds squeeking through versus a fine and well organised Leverkusen side.But either way two games to remember, lets both hope for no more injuries before March.
